College Girl

Guest post by Gerard Mcdaniel

Our only daughter leaves for college on Sunday. When our son left for college three years ago, our only worry was that he would be studying girls more than books. Now that our daughter is leaving, our only concern is that she feels safe.

She insisted on not living in the dorms her freshman year, and she and her friends found a house to rent. So we insisted that she have a security system installed that we found at ALLHomeSecurity.com. Her landlord agreed to have it installed as long as we agreed to pay for it, which we did. Their house is located on a well-lit part of campus one street over from fraternity row. Luckily she will not be living far from her brother, who lives in his fraternity house, and he’s agreed to keep an eye on her.

It’s so hard to let her grow up. We know it’s good for her to be living away from home, but she’s our youngest, and our only girl. It sure is going to be quiet around here on Monday.
