I wanted to plan something special for my girlfriend and I since it was our last Spring Break in college. She had just gotten back at Christmas from studying abroad in Australia so anything beachy was sort of out…then I came across a website offering really great deals to Italy – perfect!

She’s always talked about how she can’t wait to visit Europe and she’s a major foodie, so she’s going to love it there. I may book us a winery tour as well just to cap off the week, but don’t tell her yet! I want the whole thing to be a surprise! I think she thinks I’m planning on staying home to study for the boards but she’s going to be floored when I tell her where we’re going. I just hope she doesn’t think this big vacation means we’re getting engaged over there…I don’t have any money leftover for a ring right now! I can’t wait for Spring Break to hurry up and get here so we can enjoy a romantic week in Italy…
