Homework While on Vacation

My daughter, who is in 2nd grade, had no homework to take along to Disney this last trip. However, when we got home she had a ton to catch up on.

In Kindergarten, the teacher gave her plain paper in different colored presentation covers so she could draw about her trip. When she was in 1st grade, she had homework to take along. I'm not sure what was best/easiest for her but she seemed to like the whole illustrating the trip idea the most.
