If she only knew…
Often I sit watching her from across the room
Illuminated by the quiet light of the computer
The television flickers in eerie depressing gloom
She doesn’t even know I’m watching her
My heart still flutters when I think of her kiss
Dreaming of my arms around her as she falls into dreams
I wonder if she wonders if I ever think of this
I doubt she even knows that I love her more than it seems
I see the desire of a teen but the wisdom of a mother
In time she will understand just how much I truly care
She couldn’t fathom all of the reasons that I love her
Where our love can take us, only the Goddess knows where
