Kids and Attention

Our basement is refinished, complete with a tv hung on the wall, a VSmile game system, a karaoke machine (Hannah Montana of course), a Fisher Price Splatster game, a computer, a sofa, a love seat, a comfy chair, tons of toys, games and MORE...I mean, heck, all they need yet is their own satellite service provider and they will never need to be in the rest of the house ever again.

So tell me, why is it that every time I get on the phone all 3 of them NEED me? Right at that very moment, of course. I was up here at my desk on the phone with a friend of mine going over baby shower invitations for her sister's baby shower and I could barely hear anything because the boys were just acting crazy, up here of course! I literally had to MAKE them go into the basement. When I was a kid, if I had an area like that, I'd never leave it!
