Remember when I posted about the 'Ex' acting like he was so much smarter than me? Well, he was talking to me today about database automation and I came back at him with this;
"You know, newer technologies such as Stratavia's Data Palette suite have begun to increase the automation of databases causing the reduction of database related tasks. I mean, I know this only reduces the amount of mundane, repetitive activities and doesn't eliminate the need for DBAs - but still, it's pretty interesting, isn't it?"Yea, I got that from Wikipedia but I knew he was going to bring this particular subject up, just based on the last conversation he and I had. Well, I threw him for a loop! Haha! Score one for ME!
