The Man and I were both a lot thinner when we met - like 60 pounds lighter. Me? Well, I had 3 kids in the span of about 4 years. Miss. Independent is 5, Mr. WildChild just turned 3 and Mr. No will be 2 next month, so yea, they were born in 2003, 2005 and 2006 - my body is still like, 'what the fuck happened to me?!'
The Man? Well, he got a desk job in 2003 and it's been downhill ever since. He is not as active as he used to be and he simply loves to eat shitty, oh so bad bad for you but it tastes good food. Now, I am not saying that either of us have an 'excuse'. I have been going to the gym, off and on, since April and lost some weight and a few inches. My problem is that I cannot stay focused and stick to it, so I realize I need to get back in a routine. I need to lose at least 40 pounds and I would love to meet that goal by January.
The Man, on the other hand, has no desire to even sit on the exercise bike that is in our bedroom. Two years ago when he had a physical, he was told his cholesterol was high, too high. We immediately began eating properly and said 'bubye' to many bad foods. We both lost some weight and his cholesterol returned to normal. I guess he needs a scare like that again?
And, our sex life - it's practically non existent and when we do have sex, it's 15 minutes max. I am getting tired of that but it's obvious he's too out of shape to enjoy sex. I wish he'd do something about his health.
